Unhappy Dwarf hamster slowing down suddenly

Hi, I hope someone is able to give me some advice.
I think my white dwarf hamster is about 1 year 3 months old, we adopted her about a year ago and they couldn't tell us an exact age. She normally runs on her wheel lots and I would have to clean it every day as she wees and poops there. However suddenly I haven't needed to clean the wheel for the last few days, theres nothing on it - if she is still running, its not much.
Last night when spot cleaning her she wouldn't come out of her nest, normally she will do anything for a mealworm but she was completely ignoring them and any other food. She's normally very social with us and can't wait to get out and see us. There is a massive stock of food I've found in her nest and I don't think she's eating any of it. I also haven't heard her drinking since this and when I offered her water today she would only lick at it for a few seconds then gives up. She's moving around lots during the day today to find different places to cuddle in and doesn't appear to be sleeping too much.
Condition wise, her fur is maybe a little less perfect than it used to be but nothing I was concerned about. There appears to be nothing wrong with her, eyes and nose fine and no lumps/swelling.
I don't know what to do. Perhaps she's just old and now is her time, she doesn't seem to be that old though (just over a year). I cant decide if I should take her to the vets, I don't want to make her more uncomfortable taking her in the car but I don't want her to suffer if there is something that can be done
Any advice is greatly appreciated xx

If you think there is something wrong with your hamster it is always worthwhile taking your hamster to the vets, I think a lot of us (myself included) worry about causing them extra stress taking them to the vet, but in my experience it has never stressed them out that much.
I just wonder what country you are in and if it has been particularly hot where you live. This can sometimes affect their habbits.
If you are worried about her intake of water, you could try a bit of cucumber and see how that goes.
You could also try flax seeds for her fur if you want.

I'm in the UK and its about 20*C outside, so not hot at all. It was 30 + a few weeks back and she didn't seem too bothered. Completely fine until a last night really
She already has a sprinkling of flax seeds as a treat to forage for in her cage - might be why we haven't seen much of a difference in her age.. She won't touch them now though.
