Essential Oil Scents

I used to run a essential oil diffuser in my room before I got my hamsters, but when researching everything said a lot of scents can be potentially harmful for them so I stopped. I'm just curious if any of you know of some good scents? I obviously wouldn't turn it on right to the cage or have it on for too long. My favorite scents to diffuse were rose and lemon.
If there aren't any scents that are safe, I won't do them again.

I wouldn't use essential oils in the same room as a hamster, even if the oil itself was a safe one. They have extremely delicate respiratory systems and very sensitive noses so it's best to just avoid that sort of thing completely. Essential oils are also extremely potent so even with safe varieties you could easily have a concentration that is harmful.

I completely agree. I used to run a diffuser in my room as well, but when I got my mice, I stopped using it. Just don't take the chance of making your pet ill. I wouldn't risk it.
