what is wrong with my WW hamster?
So.... this WW hamster recently showing all these yellow stain on her butt and belly, i am pretty sure is not wet tail because her feces are black and round shaped. i also noticed a mild degree of hair loss and a bald patch on her nose as summer approaches, could this be a health concern? she does like to poo and pee around the bedding and in the wheel too. she is active at night as usual.

Re: what is wrong with my WW hamster?
WW hamsters don't get wet tail so it wouldn't be that.
Does she pee in the nest? it could be from where she's sleeping but some photos would give a better idea if you could post some.
A bald patch on the nose most often results from bar chewing or pushing the nose into something that rubs against it.
Hair loss could be a nutritional issue too, what do you feed her?

Re: what is wrong with my WW hamster?
I've found that when I've judged winter whites, that they are the species most likely to be stained underneath. It's nothing you've done or are not doing but it's worth keeping an eye on it as they can also develop crusting of their scent glants which can then go on to get infected. You can try to clean it but sometimes that can make the problem worse.

she does pee all over the cage, i use a tote box for a cage so there isnt any bars for her to chew, she's gotten all these condition ever since i changed her food from hazel hamster to higgins sunburst.
she's gotten bit cleaner after i changed her bedding, wiped everything with disinfecting soap and washed again with water, BUT i just found bloody stain on her belly which concerns me even more.

Re: what is wrong with my WW hamster?
The food could be a problem, I know it's hard to find any good food for dwarf hams in the US but I think Higgins vita garden is recommended as the best, if I'm mistaken hopefully someone there can correct me but I'm pretty sure that's the one you need.
Any sign of blood is a concern, can you tell where it came from? It is possible she scratched herself but if you see more & aren't sure where it's coming from then you need to get her checked by your vet.
Don't overdo the cleaning, disinfectant is only needed if your hamster is sick & not always then, if you over clean & remove all her scent she will be peeing & scent marking more of the cage. Just spot clean pee when you find it & only clean anything else when it really needs doing.

Re: what is wrong with my WW hamster?
Higgins Vita Garden would be the suitable US food regardless of species but especially with hybrids and diabetes prone hamsters in general as there's no added sugar with that one(including dried fruit, which Higgins Sunburst has far too much of making it completely unsuitable).
I don't think it would cause these issues though. It is possible that this hamster has some underlying health problem which would require proper veterinary care.

The food might be a problem. I'd take it to the vet, just in case.
