Unusual hamster testes
Hey guys this is quite a strange situation I have going on so I haven’t found much information on the internet about it. So my hamster, (Nugget, about 1.5 years old, long haired Syrian) has some strange discoloration around his genital area. I noticed it in the past around his testes, they’re almost never sticking out and they are partially a purple/black color. I never thought much of it but I got another look tonight and it looks worse like it’s spread up his body to what looks like his anus (not 100% on the anatomy). It doesn’t appear to be bothering him, he was just very upset when I was trying to restrain him to look at it haha I was thinking it could just be bruising because he does climb around in his cage and fall down but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something worse

Re: Unusual hamster testes
You could always take him to the vet just to make sure that it's nothing dangerous

Re: Unusual hamster testes
If he's climbing his cage that could be a sign of stress because of a not big enough cage. how many square inches is you cage? You can measure the sq inches by measuring the length and the width of your cage and multiplying those 2 measurements.
Now, make sure you take him to the vet, its never a bad thing to go to the vets even if you think it isn't to serious, better be safe than sorry.
hope everything is okay xx
