Re: Knocked tooth?
Glad to hear there doesn't seem to be anything major going on with his eye & I'm sure he'll be more comfortable now he's on the metacam.

Re: Knocked tooth?
I'm worried that the bottom teeth are too long now!
It is the top one that has been knocked and they look an okay length.
If they are too long (vet wanted to see him tomorrow again anyway) will it be a GA job? Or can they do them while awake like I know they sometimes do with rabbit incisors?

Re: Knocked tooth?
It will depend on what your vet thinks best, some vets will clip them while awake while others would rather burr them which does require an anaesthetic.
Clipping does run the risk of teeth splitting & possible damage to the roots, if it's just a one off while his tooth grows back then a single anaesthetic should be fine, long term if his lower teeth do keep getting overgrown they may need trimming every two to three weeks so the anaesthetic becomes more of a risk.
Talk to your vet & see what they say, I had a ham who needed his teeth trimming regularly for some time & my vet clipped them with no problems.
