Question possible pyometra

Im very concerned.
I have a feeling nibbles might have open pyo. Theres pus coming out of her uterus and her stomach area feels very firm. Im planning on taking her into the vets as its crammed right now, just waiting for an available spot. Im petrified for her health as she is a 1 year and 9 months old, shes pushing through these senior stages. I just pray she can make it till I get her into the vets.

I hope its just a false alarm. she also has these unstoppable squeaking noises and hicupping. i PRAY im just overreacting.

It does sound like she may well have pyo, can you get an emergency appointment at the vet?

with the time that i have, i can only take her on the weekends. Would you consider pyo an emergency? if so i'll call in and stress the factor of her life on line. I dont have to much knowledge on the illness execpt that the only way to treat it is by a spay.

i have a quick question. can my hamster still pee if her uterus has pus? I recently cant find any soiled bedding around her cage at all and its worrying me that all that fluid is being stored in her tiny body even more so that she drinks so much more often.

Pyo is an emergency yes, sadly many hams don't survive this but if treated early enough there is a chance they can come through so the sooner you can get her to the vet the better her chances.
I don't really know how pyo might impact on her bladder or ability to pee but if she does have a build up of urine that would be an emergency in itself so you really do need to get her to the vet.
