Female Syrian Bleeding from Behind
I recently got a female syrian around 6 months old and her behaviours have been completely normal until after I spot cleaned her cage tonight she went into the corner she normally wees in and when she left there was some blood on the bedding. I threw away the bedding and 5 minutes later she had done the same again, both times she went into the corner she didn’t urinate she just sat there and then left leaving blood behind. I examined her underneath and there was no blood on her fur. I know this isn’t normal but I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else and if it is serious??

Re: Female Syrian Bleeding from Behind
Any bleeding is a serious matter so you need to see the vet as a matter of urgency. It could be either a urine infection, a bowel problem or an infection in her womb called a pyometra. I hope she can be seen and treated soon.
