white spots on hamster
i had quite an old dwarf hamster (about 2 years old) which recently died. so i bought a new dwarf hamster who is relatively young. she’s very energetic and climbs all over the cage and is on the wheel 24/7 which i’m assuming is normal. but she has recently developed white patches on her in very weird shapes and it’s becoming a concern. i have photos but don’t know how to upload them. but my please feel free to email me if you have any advice or would like to see the pictures. advice would be appreciated greatly x

Re: white spots on hamster
If your hamster is from a pet shop she sounds to be one with a lot of Winter white in her.
There hamsters change from a browny grey to an almost white hamster in the winter. Even if it is not that cold the change is light levels can trigger the coat to go in to winter coat. Sometimes they just get patches and sometimes they change fully then back in spring. There are some pics here of one who has changed : My hammy is changing colour....
Don't worry about it as it perfectly normal
