Unhappy Hunched over?

Recently I adopted a robo hamster from the pet store (unfortunately there were no breeders in the area, I would have gotten one from there if I could). She is between 1-2 moths old if I estimated correctly, according to the employee I consulted at the store. Her name is Pip.

As of today, yesterday I checked in on her and she was doing fine. Now, her back is hunched-I’m not sure why, as there are no signs of wetness under or near her tail. she is relatively active still and moves in the same way she usually does, except for her back which seems to be curled inwards so she’s shaped more like a ball. She’s still young, so I doubt it could be because of age or posture. Pip tends to walk around her cage a lot and has plenty of room, and often squeezes herself between spaces which does make her stretch back to her original posture. I’ve been feeding her vegetables like salad leaves or zucchini every other day, usually only one piece though because she’s so small.

Does anyone know why she’s hunched like this? Perhaps it could be she is hungry, as when I refilled her food bowl she was interested and ate for a few minutes but this didn’t change her posture, so I’m not sure. She is also drinking water. I’m worried about her and am wondering if it’s just something that happens and she’ll be okay after a bit, or if she’s sick

Could you post a photo please?

My Robo often looks like a ball when he sits because he's so tiny and fluffy.
I wouldn't feed salad leaves though. Think it can bloat them.

Alright, I’ll keep that in mind :’) Sadly she passed away suddenly today, but I suspect it might have possibly been due to her genetics because she came from Petco which I’ve heard gets their hamsters from breeding mills

I'm very sorry to hear this and agree that the most likely cause was down to genetics.

You could adopt a hamster that's a few months old if you can't locate a reputable breeder in your area. That way any genetic faults should have come to the surface.

One of my hamsters is from a pet shop and the other was adopted at around seven months old.
