Default Health Concern!! My hamster eye has an orange spot in it

I have a Syrian hamster that's around a year and a half now. I got her on June 29th, 2018 and the store could only guarantee that she was under 6 months...

I noticed today that she has an orange spot in her eye. At first I thought a piece of bedding got in her eye, but it looks like it may be some kind of injury or condition.

I've used paper bedding most of the time, but I decided to mix in some aspen on one side of the cage this time. I'm worried her eye may have been scratched by the wood.

She's still being very active and seems normal, but I want to know if there is anything I can do to help/ prevent this. And generally I just want to know what the spot is. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1foS...ew?usp=sharing

I'd love to get some advice and second opinions. Please help!

It does look like some sort of small injury and could well have been spiked by the new bedding. The eye does not look swollen or weepy though so hopefully it will clear but this can take quite a while. If she does show any signs at all of being uncomfortable or the eye swells, the patch gets larger or there is any discharge it would be best to have her checked out by the vets.
