URGENT! What should healthy hamster poo look like?
I know that normal hamster poo should be in a really dark brown/black pellet form and relatively hard. What I'd like to know is if the poo is supposed to come out already hard and dry, or is it normal for it to come out a bit soft/moist and then it dries? I got a new hamster a week ago, and I've noticed that he has had some soft poops that have dried into looking like normal ones, and other soft poops that were greener/lighter brown in colour and still stayed a bit soft.
Is this normal? I'm really scared cus my previous hamster had died of wet tail and so I cannot get this off my mind. To ease my conscience I've given my new hamster a pea-sized drop of Benebac gel last night and tonight, but IDK if the Benebac is even necessary or if it works.

our hamsters sometimes have brown sticky ones come out, this has been happening their whole life and have had no issues with wet tail at all.
