Default Wild grasshopper for dwarf hamsters!

Hey guys I recently am feeding my hamsters some wild grasshoppers and I wanted to know if it's healthy or could it be harmful to them? Do grasshopper carry parasites which could harm my hamsters? Cheers!

Definitely don't feed any wild insects, they can harbor parasites and can be contaminated with very harmful pesticides or other toxins.

I think they feed hamsters live insects in other countries.
I prefer them dead and dried and from the pet shop.

With wild caught insects, they need to be kept on a controlled diet for a certain length of time to make sure all possible toxins from outside (poisonous plants, pesticides, etc) have passed through their systems before being killed, washed, and fed to any pet. Its far more effort than its worth though so best to just buy dried insects tbh
