Default Hamster has something red in his eye???

My hamster Oreo who is only 9 months old has something in his eye which I have no idea whether it's a piece of woodshaving or if something is wrong with it. I called my vet today but unfortunately they were closed. I will try again tomorrow but unfortunately I'm going on holiday in Thursday and leaving him in the cafe of people who are inexperienced with hamsters.

Oreos eye is slightly puffy and there's a red lump quite small under the top lid of his eye. He's eating and drinking normally and doesn't seem to be in any pain. He is washing his face a(with his paws) a little more than usual.

I'm really worried because I don't know what it is and whether it's urgent and i should take him to the vet or if it'll fix itself on it own

Any help is greatly appreaciated
