Exclamation Overgrown teeth

Hi, so late last year I took in a rescue hamster. And I recently started to notice his teeth overgrowing. I have several different chew toys in his cage (Loofa, wood, soft wood, etc.) but he’s stop using them. I’ve gotten really good at trimming his teeth for him but it’s very stressful for both of us and I’m looking for any other option diet wise, chew toy wise, etc. (btw his diet now is Higgins sunburst, gourmet blend)

Could you try whimzees, not sure where you live. Or something which is cardboard covered in hay - something like this https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Rosewood-...gateway&sr=8-7

or something like this.

Also walnuts still in their shell, if your hamster doesn't chew it, try starting off a little hole in the top of it with a cork screw or something similar

I'd definitely recommend walnuts in shell, small hole to start hamster off. Worked for my adopted girl with long teeth and claws, trimmed them both right down.
Whimzees work well too.
Also small pea size amount of 100% peanut butter (some additive are dangerous) on a wooden chew, rubbed well in can encourage chewing.

Thanks I purchased him a xs one today. I was searching everywhere for walnuts but couldn’t find any in the area. It’s okay, I clip his nails anyways.
