Default Holistic Advice

Hey All!

I am new to this site and would love some advice.

I have a male Syrian called Chachou and he is coming up to 2years old. Over the past week his behaviour has changed. He is usually quite active as most hamsters, I let him free roam my flat. But recently he has become lethargic and sleeps a lot and hardly leaves his nest He squeals and squarks when I pick him up. His eating is fine as is his poo.

I took him to the vet yesterday and she was unhelpful. She said his belly is a little swollen and Said it could be a tumour but wasn’t sure. She prescribed painkillers but that was all!

I’m more interested in the holistic approach.

Is there any natural/holistic painkillers that you can suggest? I gave him what she prescribed yesterday but would rather natural.

Any suggestions Anti-inflammatory food? If it is a tumour then I would like to know what to give chachou to not feed it.

Thank you in advance xxx

I think I'd follow the vets advice for now and give it a chance. Tumours internally are almost impossible to operate on in hamsters. Stick with his normal diet and maybe increase his fresh foods a little to provide extra vitamins and easy to eat foods.
