Question Help, Weird Spot on my Hamster's Face

Ok, so recently I've noticed what appears to be a little white spot on my Hamster's face.
Sorry for the large unrotated images, might need to zoom out a bit. Sorry, new to this website lol

Her name is Grunt, she is a female syrian hamster and I've had her now for just under a month. (I got her at I think 6 weeks old)

She hasn't been acting strangely at all. She seems to be rather happy and sociable. She does have a habit of biting the bars of her cage, though I am certain this is not due to distress or a desire to escape (I often leave the cage door open whilst I am doing things in my room and she will curiously walk over to it but make no attempt to leave her cage.). I have provided many items for her to chew on: hanging toys, hamster furniture, etc., but she unfortunately favours the bars. I should note she's been doing it less and less recently however.

I just wanted to check with other people about this little spot. Maybe she got it from rubbing her face against the bars or something. Either way, I need advice on whether I should seek out a vet or not or if I'm just over-reacting.

I love my little Grunt to bits and I'd hate for anything bad to happen to her. Thank you in advance.

Hi there
I resized the images for you. If you can resize them to around 600 pixels wide that is a good size for the forum.
This is almost certainly bar rub from her chewing at the bars. There are quite a few threads around the forum on how to try and stop it but ultimately most have to change the cage type to a tank type or non barred cage. They become obsessed with bar chewing and it is very hard to stop.

It’s caused by bar chewing, the friction results in hair loss

I’m not sure what cage you have but Syrians do best in 100x50cm cages, unfortunately most pet stores sell and recommend much smaller cages. A tank might be the better option for her now though as bar chewing can become a habit that continues even after the issue is resolved.

I would say it looks like it has been rubbed if she is a bar chewer. If your cage is the correct size and she continues chewing despite having other things to chew on, I would suggest moving her to something without bars. For example, a tank or bin cage. Some hamsters learn bar chewing as a habit and will continue to do it even when housed correctly, so if you do realise your cage might be too small, it may be worth going straight for a cage without bars in case you buy a large barred cage and still have the same problem Hope this helps.
