Worried about my hamster :(
Hi all.
I have a robo dwarf hamster. He has just turned one. I got him out of his cage today to have a little run around and I noticed 2 lumps in the same place on each side of his body, I got a light onto them and had a look as best I could but he’s hard to keep still! They were like orange colour scabs and quite big.
I googled this and it hasn’t helped me with anything, does anyone know what these could be? Is it something to worry about? Should I take him to a vet? He doesn’t flinch when I was inspecting them or squeak or anything so I’m guessing they are not causing him any discomfort I’m just worried as to what these could be
If anyone could help me I’d be so grateful!! Thank you

Re: Worried about my hamster :(
Hi, there! I have had a robbo before, now I have russian dwarfs, but I've never heard or seen something of this sort before. I'd suggest you keep a watch on it for 2-3 days and if you can find a vet for hamsters in your area that you should pay them a visit to be sure. Dunno how things work there, but where I am, if you gave a call to the vet and described the issue they might even tell you if they recognize this as an emergency and you should, or if it could be something you don't need to worry about. Keep us posted, I hope it's nothing serious!
