Hamsters should never get wet or be bathed. It’s very bad for them and they could die if a chill. They groom themselves regularly to keep clean and yes dwarf hamsters do enjoy rolling in a sand bath as part of their hygiene although the manage via grooming if there is no sand bath. The sand used needs to be chinchilla bathing sand (sand not “dust”) to be safe. It can go in any kind of household dish.
