Sammy is sneezing and there's red stuff around her eye!!!!!!!!

Okay, so one night I got Sammy out of her house and there was weird red stuff around her eye (blood? ) and she sneezed a lot. I got super scared. We then got some saline eye drops and practically drowned the left side of her face in them. The next day (last night) I got her out again and she didn't look any better, but apparently to my Dad she looked "improved". We drowned her in eye drops again. She sneezed a lot then too (not during the eye drops, just in general) I haven't seen her yet (she burrows in her fluff a lot ) since then. What's going on with my little girl? Is she sick? We don't really have the money or time to go to a vet right now, but I'm scared. Help!!!!
Also, I'm new to Hamster Central, I found it by trying to find what's happening to Sammy. If it helps any, she's a Chinese Dwarf Hamster.

Well, I got saw her again and it's not good. After a while, the red stuff went away and she didn't sneeze at all! Then I saw her again and the red stuff was back and she fell over when she tried to walk over to me and it broke my heart. I think this might be the end. I don't want it to be and it hurts a lot. She kept running in her wheel and even though she kept falling out she kept getting back in, over and over again and I couldn't stand to watch it. I love her so much. She's been with me for two years and four months. That's a long time, but she's still strong. <3

aww she really is an old hammy and the chestyness and discharge from the eyes is a sign she is not feeling so well. Can you take her to the vets and have her checked out at all?
The red stuff round the eye is not blood but a secretion called porphorin which happens due to general unwellness. If she seems to be ready to pass then I would just make sure she is warm but not hot and that she can easily reach her food and water. Maybe give some soft food like a little porridge or babyfood to tempt her.
