Bumblefoot?

Soo I have this Syrian hamster and his name is Squishy. Recently I noticed a big bump under his foot and when I searched it up, it said he has bumblefoot. Apparently it happens when you have a mesh wheel and I was guilty of having one so when i realized I patched it up so the mesh was covered perfectly. Thing is I'm not sure so here are some pictures. Can someone help me pleasssee? The pictures look kind of painful so I suggest if you're queasy you shouldn't look at them. And if it is bumblefoot can someone help give me remedies (preferably natural ones with things you find in your house) so I can treat him right away (as well as medication.) He doesn't seem so disturbed by it though, he still runs the whole night and loves eating sleeping cuddling. Don't worry bout the pic where I'm holding him, he woke up from a nap and he doesn't mind being held like that, I'm grasping him very lightly!

I'm not a vet so I cannot give you a definitive answer but it does look as though Squishy might have bumblefoot, especially as you have a mesh wheel. The best thing to do would be to take him to the vet and they will be able to prescribe the correct medication to help him heal. These will work much better than any home remedies, and are much safer. Also, you should replace his wheel with a solid 11"/28cm wheel which is much safer and nicer for them to run on. You need to get that seen by your vet as soon as possible, it may or may not be bumble foot, I'm not sure tbh but it's not something you can treat with a home remedy.

The growth became more yellow and pus filled as it seems and I don't think I can take him to the vet
He's doing fine and he eats and everything but I heard it can spread to the rest of his body if it isn't treated. My parents won't let me take him to the vet because of the costs, is there any medicine that I can get off of amazon or the drug store? I don't want him suffering

You will probably need an antibiotic before it spreads more and gets worse and I would ask for pain relief too which is why a vet trip would be necessary. I can’t advise buying things off amazon, people here are generally not vets and it can be dangerous trying to do things yourself. Any vet should be able to prescribe the above can you ring up and ask? It generally doesn’t cost too much.

Very difficult if your parents won't let you take him to the vet. You could try calmly explaining to him that he may get septicaemia and die if he doesn't get treatment and offer to do some chores to pay for it. If they still refuse then it is a difficult situation. You could dab some thyme tea on it, which may help externally with the infection. It's a natural antiseptic. You just make tea with thyme herb in boiling water - but obviously let it go cold first! A cotton bud or the corner of a cloth to dab it on.

I knowww they don't like spending money on him and its getting worsee so I'm going to try talking to them. I heard manuka honey is good too and does green tea work as well or is it toxic for them? I also heard that a cortizon based ointment is good to put on but I'm not sure if its toxic for hamster so I wanna make sure before I do anything.
It also says you should clean it with saline which I want to do but I'm not sure if I can use regular salt. I might have some epsom salt but I don't know how much I should put in the water.

Manuka honey might help yes, and safe if he licks it off - but as it's underneath his feet it may not work well as substrate would stick to his feet and he's more likely to get them infected. I would use thyme tea - it is antiseptic. Don't use cortisone ointment - human medicines aren't suitable.

I think the thyme antiseptic solution would be better to use than saline - it would be more soothing. You can used dried herb. A teaspoonful to a pint of boiling water (then cooled). Saline may sting badly on an open wound like that too.

It really does need vet advice. Could you use an online vet?

Thank youu for the thyme tea idea, his bump is starting to go down
Before it had scab on it and now the scab is gone too, his little feet bumps are starting to show again. I'll continue the treatment till he's better and if anything goes wrong I'll consider an online vet but for now he's running and really energetic.
