Default Ear infection

Hi there my daughters 20 month old dwarf hamster got baytril and loxicom 10 days ago for ear infection. I thought it was really improving but then i noticed a new growth/lump beneath the ear . The swelling in her face has gone right down and therea no more puss coming out the ear and the redness was going away but tonight i think it looks redder.
Ill post a good few pics in order of when the infection was at its worst /day 1 of antibiotics until today.

If the swelling has gone down & there's no discharge from the ear now then is sounds as though it has got a lot better but it still looks very inflamed, she may just need more antibiotics or there could be something else going on so it would be best to take her back to the vet.
I saw in your other post that you were told to put the baytril in water so I'm wondering if she would have got the full dose that way, it's hard to monitor how much they get with water & it can deter them from drinking too so if she needs more it might be better to try & disguise it in food if you can.

Thank you yes i think returning to the vet is our only option here. I did wonder that myslef abiut the antibiotic being in the water as obv they dont drink 50 mls of water each day! I actually think there is infection still deep down because i can smell it still slightly

It does still look very swollen and sore. When the vet asks you to give the meds in water they calculate the amount you add to the water then say she will drink maybe 5 mls a day and therefore get the right dose so that is factored in. You can't give the whole amount by mouth as that would be far to much. We find they don't like the water with the meds in. It's better hidden in a tiny amount of something like applause cat food - the turkey jelly stuff that is quite strongly scented. Given neat it is usually about 0.01ml of Baytril. I'd have her seen again and if the vet gives it neat this time then you can use the new dosage and give it in food or into the mouth direct though it does taste horrid.
Hope she is better soon.
