Will my hamster be ok? Fell from my bed

Hello!
I'm new to this community, but I've been checking it out ever since I got my hammie (almost a week ago).
So, an accident happened tonight
I was changing the water from my hamster bottle (a bottle that has been giving me headaches btw) and my hamster escaped the cage. This never happened before, since Rasputin (my hamster) never tried to venture out the cage before, even when we tried to encourage it. He fell from my bed (that around 50 centimetres tall) onto the hard floor after i tried catching him. He fell more than once because i never handled him before and i dont know how to hold him. Will he be alright? He seemed normal to me afterwards, running around his cage and cleaning his hands. But we never know... Please dont hate me because of that. Im usually very careful. Never tried to catch him before, never disturbed his sleep, respected his space, I'm happy just watching him sleeping.
Should I take him to the vet?

Keep an eye on him for a day or two. He might be a bit stressed but it doesn’t sound like is injured. If he isn’t moving well or walking properly then take him to the vets but he is probably ok after 50cm drop. It has happened to me before with a new hamster as well. If you can rig up a playpen area then easier to have him out of the cage in the playpen when you do the bottle. And then you can let him have some taming time in the playpen. Taming can take a bit of time and patience but you’ll get there.
