So she's managed to pull one of the large scabs off she isn't bleeding it just looks really sore.. I'm seeing the vet first thing anyway, hopefully she'll leave it alone til then.

Oh dear - she was bound to do that. I wonder if you could put Manuka honey on it - it's supposed to be very good for wound healing and safe (and maybe beneficial!) if she licks it off.
