Gestation for the Syrian Hamster is 15 - 18 days according to Hamster Central Wiki, so that should give you an idea of whether Herbert could be pregnant or not but I think not

That's good news about Herbert not having wet tail but best to be safe than sorry I reckon. Out of interest which vet did you use?

i went to the una mclean vets at high street...but they have another surgery at queens crescent (dont know where that is though

) they are really nice there...the problem is just that the vets swap the surgeries so you probably have a different vet in front of you every time you go there
