Red face Injured one of front legs

Hello. I'm new here and also new in petting hamsters. My second hamster (the first one gone missing because he escaped from his cage) now suffers in pain due to broken bone and wound on his right front leg.

I already took him to the vet and sadly not many animal clinics here in one city in Indonesia have x-ray tool. My hamster, Bunderfoy, got injected with painkiller and given antibiotik powder for his wound. I think the effect of the painkiller is all gone now. I touched Bunderfoy to move him and clean the wound, he started to winch and squeak. It's so heartbreaking for me.

I also already look for informations about Metacam but sadly it's not available here to buy.

Is there anyone knows how to make hamsters feel less pain? And also, is there another Indonesian member here? I'd like to get to know more.

Thank you very much!

There is probably little point in an Xray as hamsters do not tolerate a plaster cast and bones are too small to pin. The most important thing is to limit movement for the hamster. He needs to be in a 'hospital cage' like a small storage bin maybe 40cm x 40cm with deep bedding and easy access to food and water and plenty chew items like shelled nuts etc. Eve if the bone is crooked scar tissue usually forms around the break and will support the leg though it may be crooked. He should not have any wheel for now and nothing to climb on. This should allow him to heal. Metacam can make them over active instead of resting if they cannot feel any pain. The bone isn't through the skin is it? If it is then the treatment of choice would normally be amputation of the leg. You need to watch his pouch on that side as hamsters with non functional feed cannot depouch easily and the pouches can get impacted. I'd give him some time in the hospital tank. If the wound looks infected or the limb goes black looking then he needs seen again urgently
