Default Baby wipes?

So when I come round to cleaning a cage can I go ahead and after vacuuming the corners is it safe to just wipe it down with regular baby wipes instead of a dishcloth with warm soapy water or a vinegar solution?

Thank you!

I've seen people use them but don't think they're not really needed. Some actually have quite a strong scent, not sure what exactly is in them but that's one of the reasons I don't use them myself. Usually just water is enough to be honest and if really needed (ie if a hamster is ill/died or the cage has somehow got really dirty) then some kind of proper cleaner.

In a big enough cage though you should very rarely if ever need to take everything out and wipe it all down, it isn't really necessary. Bedding changes every 6/8+ weeks are usually enough (adding back about 1/3 of the old stuff each time). Just checking as over cleaning is quite a common mistake!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I'm aware of that German bedding method and I was going to do 2/3 old bedding and 1/3 new so nothing to be concerned about there.
The info was helpful and I'll just use water as suggested thanks!

I just use warm water and a cloth The base of my cage is always fine anyway as our hammy uses a litter tray.

Baby wipes just leave a residue you don't want, anything that does just need a wipe down water & a paper towel or cloth are all you need.
