Question Water drinking

Hello
So i have noticed recently that my hamster is drinking a lot less water than normally. I have had him for about one year now and he has always been drinking a lot, however now i don't notice his water going down at all. I always fill his water all the way to the top so i can easily monitor his drinking habits, but now his water just doesn't go down. I have checked him multiple times for dehydration and he doesn't seem so show any of the signs (like his skin falling slowly back when i pull it up). He recently had a little bit of an adventure when he escaped his cage a few days ago, but it didn't seem like he had hurt himself or anything like that when i found him, but it was more or less after that where his water drinking started declining.
If anybody has any tips i would love to hear them<3

It may be an obvious question but have you checked the bottle to make sure it's working ok, if you run your finger over the tip does water come out freely?
They normally drink very little so if the bottle works ok & he seems fine in himself, eating ok etc then I wouldn't worry too much.

Hey thanks for the reply!
Every time i change his water i always makes sure that water flows normally and that it doesn't leak into his cage. His eating habits are pretty normal it's just his drinking habits that have changed a little. I'll keep my eyes out for anything but try to not worry to much, sometimes i can be just a little frantic over my hamsters hahaha

You can give him some cucumber if you’re worried he’s not hydrated enough
