Fingers crossed you won't need eye drops then! It does sound as though it's most likely to be red from the surgery & stitches.
Her behaviour is understandable, poor girl has been through a lot but I'm sure once all the treatment is over she'll gain confidence & become tamer soon enough.

Aww, I'm so glad she's pulled through and the eye seems OK. Redness makes perfect sense. I'd worry if it gets puss or crust around it. I'm sure she'll settle in in time. Poor girl's had a rough old start but you've absolutely done the right things from the sound of it and she's lucky to have you! Give her my best!

I have some bad news ... my friend took chewy to the vet today and turns out chewy only removed 1 stitch and the others were still stitched on... and because it was like this for a day, an ulcer has formed on her eye. Her eye has recovered but the ulcer needs to be fixed immediately... I’m only back home on Saturday since I’m traveling... medication needs to be put on chewy’s eye 3 times a day and nobody can do that so she has to stay in the hospital till Saturday. But that’s going to cause her so much stress and I’m so worried... but I don’t have any other choice

I'm really sorry to hear that her problems aren't over yet, this must be very stressful for both of you. I hope her eye is better soon, everything she's gone through will most likely that once it's all over taming will take longer than normal but I'm sure once back to full health with a little time she'll get over it & be ok.

Aw no! So sorry to hear this. You were concerned about the drops so maybe it is best for her to be there and they canadminister them and monitor her closely for you! Also, maybe all the negative association of her problems and treatment will be on the vet as opposed to you? Does that make sense? I hope she's much better soon and you can both get back to normal. Much love! I feel terrible for you having to deal with all this!

The vet updated me on chewy today and he said that the eye should be almost back to normal in no time! Chewy is eating and playing with her toys and has been running on the wheel all night! She seems the least bit bothered by the changes that have happened around her. Here are a few pictures of chewy when I first got her and then when her eye popped out it looked like a stone, and then chewy wearing that uncomfortable cone after the stitches and the a picture of chewy right after getting her eye cleaned so her fur was a little wet... the doctor sent me that picture.

That's great that she's been doing so well at the vet & her eye is almost better now, she does look good in that last photo they sent you, she looks like a lovely girl.

Her eye was so bad earlier that even the vet thought that she would be blind in that eye. I’m glad her eye looks normal now and hopefully things continue to go well with her, I hate not being around her when she’s like this.
