Just another update on Chewy. She’s back home and turns out that was a corneal ulcer. Because of the trauma a part of her cornea ruptured and an ulcer formed over there. Sadly she has only partial vision in that eye. The doctor said she only has peripheral vision from that eye. However the ulcer is slowly going away but the damage that it has caused cannot be reversed. All that matters is that chewy isn’t in pain and the ulcer isn’t infected, she’s happy and active despite what she has been through this past 10 days. Great to hear she's back home & doing well. It is a shame her eye has been damaged by the ulcer but she will manage fine with just partial sight in that eye.

I’m glad she’s recovering well! Hamsters are pretty blind anyway ao I’m sure her eye won’t bother her

Yay! Glad to hear Chewy is back home! I agree with alpacassei, hamster have bad vision already so I’m sure her eye won’t bother her to badly. It’s nice to see the photos of her too.
