She has now been left at the vets they said they will call me in the afternoon, bless her! The op is £105 and have opted for post-op pain relief so will probs be abit more.

I am unsure how she will drink water whilst she's waiting to be seen though she probably won't drink out of a bowl, but I know she'll be sleeping most of the time before the op but still. I have faith in my vets, I'm just a huge worrier! I know they won't let her go without water if they see she isn't drinking from bowl

Remember hamsters don't drink an awful lot anyway so she will be fine with a little bowl and i would increase her wet food while she recovers which will help with her fluid intake. A teaspoon of babyfood or porridge will provide plenty fluid as will some cucumber. Sending lots of good wishes for her op

im also thinking if i should remove the lid of her house where she sleeps, so I can check on her more easily.

Iv'e tried it without the house and she didn't like it at all

vet rang me, we can pick her up.

he told me that it was quite dilated by 2-3cm, and that hes has rabbits etc which is less.. good job I opted for surgery!
