Default Weigh in

My hammy is 18 weeks old and I weighed him for the first time today, he weighs 215 g 😀 as a breeder hamster I'm assuming that's okay? Is he classed as an adult or if not is he likely to get any larger?

Default Re: Weigh in

It's a good weight for a breeder hamster. He will continue to grow and fill out till he is about 6 months but a lot more slowly as a young adult. In shows young stock is up to 16 weeks so he would be classed as an adult now.

Smile Re: Weigh in

Thank you, so it seems he could potentially grow a little more, he is a big boy already. 😁
