Tumour on testicles?
Hi all! I adopted a beautiful male syrian, but while grooming him today I found a curious growth or tumour near his testicles. I'm pretty sure it's not his penis...hope everyone here could give me some advice!
(circled in blue, sorry for the poor photos- his butt is really fluffy!)

Re: Tumour on testicles?
The photo's dont seem to be attached. Can you post again. The testicles can be quite mobile and they can move in and out depending on how warm and relaxed the hamster is. Sometimes they look like a peanut under the skin.
If you are unsure though it's important you have this checked out by a vet.

Re: Tumour on testicles?
This looks like the normal increase in pigment around the genitals as a hamster matures however I cannot feel the area to determine if the skin is smooth and healthy or if there is a crustyness or a lump there. Hamsters with black eyes (particularly black eyed creams ) do get increased pigment on the genitals, ears and over the hip scent glands as they get older.
If you look here : Syrian Scent Glands I have some photos you can see.

Re: Tumour on testicles?
How about that little 'bump' at the centre (circled blue)? It looks like a little blister

Re: Tumour on testicles?
The “bump” circled in blue is just his anus - with increased pigmentation. From the photo it looks completely normal so nothing to worry about.

Re: Tumour on testicles?
I've added two more photos for everyone to see and give me some advice,
it's really a 'blister'-like bump! A few days ago his testicles looked normal

Re: Tumour on testicles?
This does look to have gotten larger so it could be a small abscess. I would see a vet and have it checked out.

Re: Tumour on testicles?
I agree with souffle. It looks to be getting larger so best to have a check with the vet.
