Red Chest and Hair Loss

Hey, everyone!

So as of a few moments ago, I noticed my hamster has severe hair loss and redness on her chest. It also looks like it's a bump, so maybe the friction when she runs on her wheel caused the hair loss? I'm not sure.

I got her a new bedding two weeks ago from a brand that I've used before - Carefresh Complete Pet Bedding. This time I purchased the Natural one. It might be cause the hair loss, but I don't think it caused the bump.

This is a picture of her underside over the summer and the other was taken a few moments ago. I have to take her to the vet tomorrow, so I will update on what he says. Otherwise, if any of you have experienced this with your hamsters, please let me know what I can do as of now. I feel terribly about how uncomfortable and itchy she might feel right now.

That does look as though it's most likely been caused by rubbing against something, that part of her body shouldn't be rubbing on the wheel when she runs though, which wheel do you have?
I would check the cage, anything that could have become sharp or rough, entrance holes to houses, tubes etc that are rough or too small for her.
