Help!!!!

Hello! I’m a first time hamster mommmy! I just recieved my first hamster today from s local Petco. I don’t know if this is normal or not maybe it’s just pee but she has spiky hairs around her genitalia on her underbelly! I don’t want to take a picture because I don’t want to stress her out by holding her on her back. I don’t know if it’s the beginning stages of wet tail and I’m a little scared. She stinks also so I’m not sure if that’s just hamster smell or it has to do with what she could have. She’s eating fine and running around, I haven’t seen her drink yet. If a picture is needed I can send one tomorrow once she’s a little used to her surroundings. Her poop is green also? I looked it up and it could be from the dyes in the food Petco had used so I’m definitely going to change her diet up a little at a time.

I would recommend using a pet safe wipe(or baby wipes) to gently wipe her genitalia area. The smell is probably just how hamsters smells but if you don’t like the smell maybe try a sand bath. This may help your hamster clean it’s self. I would get your hamster off that diet straight away if it had any added colouring in it. That is probably the cause of the green poo but if This doesn’t help and there is no change with the spiky hair on her under belly and the green poo I denfinity recommend seeing a vet about your concerns as you might need medical treatment.
