Default Injury !!!

HELLO! My hamster has been walking with us left foot turned out. I don't know why. Whenever I flip him over and touch the area around the leg He sorta flinches . that area is also very purple.the back of his foot, his heel his also red ( but NO blood)
He fell a couple of days ago, it might have beeen that.
Other than flinching slightly, he doesn't have any other symptoms, he's still eating and drink, he still uses his wheel .
What do you think ? Will it heal on its one or do I need to go to the vet.

Other info: he's a male and he's aproximately 1 year and 6 months

Default Re: Injury !!!

If your hamster flinches when you touch him then he is in pain. The foot being purple could be that the area is swollen and bruised from injuring it in the fall, there might be broken bones or the blood flow to the foot could be restricted which can be quite serious. I would definitely take him to the vets for a checkup, they can do an x-ray to check if there are any broken bones and give him some pain relief.
