Some concerns over my hammie health
Hi everyone,
I hope you all can help me in this. My hammie is 15 months old. He is sleeping, eating, exercising, pooping and peeing well. However, I realised that his balls are kinda huge and protruding out from his buttock. I have read that it could be due to the hot weather as well. But I just want to be sure that it is nothing cancerous and that he is healthy. So hence I am seeking for your help.

Re: Some concerns over my hammie health
As far as I can tell from the photos, they look perfectly normal!

I’ve never owned a robo or see to many pictures of them so I can’t refrence. They look normal to me though!

Re: Some concerns over my hammie health
I was freaked out when that happened with our syrian too - it's normal when they are warm and relaxed and they kind of drop and protrude. But I haven't seen it in a robo either so am not sure what size they should be. If it disappears again then it's probably normal (ie they get retracted again). If it's permanently like that then there may be something going on as he's a slightly older hammy at 15 months and it would be worth having a vet check. I suspect it is just he is a mature hamster and getting more relaxed and they will retract again - and less likely to be a condition or something because robos have a slightly longer lifespan than Syrians so 15 months isn't that old - just mature.
