Overweight robo!
My robo Sundae has recently gotten quite chubby, does anyone have advice for getting him back down to a healthy weight?
His usual weight is around 33g but he’s now 41g! He’s just over a year old and very active. His diet consists of Burgess Dwarf hamster mix supplemented with small amounts of fresh veggies. He has the occasional extra mealworm or millet spray but I try to to give him these too often since they’re already in his hamster mix. He has around 1 flat tablespoon a day but usually only eats/pouches half of that. He does have hay in his set up but he mostly uses it for nesting. I usually scatter feed to encourage foraging.
His current set up is the Duna Multy which has lots of deep substrate, toys, and a large sand pit (his favourite part of his cage!). His wheel is the 17cm p@h silent spinner which he spends a lot of time running on. I try to give him plenty of out of cage time to run around as well.
I’m really not sure why he’s recently gained so much weight, maybes tthis s just a part of him getting older? But he seems the same happy active Sundae as usual so I’m not really sure.
Maybe he got curious about his namesake and has been sneaking out to eat ice cream sundaes at night

Re: Overweight robo!
Is his weight stable now or is he still gaining more? If it stays stable then I wouldn't worry to much, just keep an eye on it for now.
If he's active & eating a healthy diet then you can't do much! It may be partly age & partly the time of year, other than that I'm not sure!
