Default Change in poo colour

I’ve noticed the past two days that my hammy’s poo has changed to a light brown colour - usually very dark. Same consistency but slightly bigger than usual.
The only thing I can think is he’s really gone to town on a toilet roll tube this week and what’s coming out is kind of the same colour! Could it be possible he’s been eating it and now it’s passing through?!
He’s a 2 yr 3 month Russian, old and frail but otherwise seemingly well.

I don’t think the cardboard tube would be responsible for the change in the colour of your hamsters poo - as they don’t usually consume piece sof cardboard so don’t suspect this to be the cause.
Hamster do normally have two different types of poos - as hamster digestive systems don’t always get every nitiritnet the first time of eating the food they often will re eat one type of food so they can fully digest every nutrient. So the light colour poos might be food containing more undigested food. However a photo would be helpful in determining a possible reasoning behind the lighter coloured poos.
Have you change anything in his diet recently?
