Exclamation Help please! Pinworms?

So we went to vet, because our hamster had what we thought were tape worms, and the vet had told us that they were perfectly healthy and everything is alright, but I would keep seeing the worms in my hamster's poop. So I went to look it up and it had looked exactly like what pin worms do, and my vet had said that everything was fine, and I have no other vets near me who will take hamsters what should I do? Can it spread to cats? We have a cat (Who doesn't know how to hunt and as shown no interest in hurting the hamster) and I fear it might spread to our cat. Help?

It is unlikely to be worms and more likely to be larvae from an external source that are arriving via his food and living in the cage. Can you check all the food / bedding etc for little maggot type things. I doubt they would spread to you cat. Bag and bin all waste from the hamster cage. You can easily get the larvae of the meal moth in the food and lots of people have had this happen.
