Default New Syrian Hammy sneezing

Hi Guys, Iv'e recently got a new Syrian hammy, hes only a few weeks old.(not even decided on the name yet!)

Iv'e noticed he's started sneezing (or making a very similar noise with his nose)

The substrate I use is Fitch, and nesting material is toilet roll.

I keep my window open SLIGHTLY, as my room gets stuffy easily, its on a high floor

He's eating and drinking, playing on the wheel etc.

I'm a massive hoarder, but my room doesn't seem THAT dusty, but i'm going to try and have a clear out.

What else could be causing him to sneeze?

Default Re: New Syrian Hammy sneezing

It doesn't sound as though there's anything your ham would be reacting to making him sneeze, sometimes they do make funny noises like that when they are exploring the new cage & digging around.
If he seems fine in himself, eating, drinking normally & active he's probably fine but just keep a close eye on things to be sure there's nothing else going on there.
