Default Brown liquid in corner of cage?

I'm very worried as my Hamster for the past while has had this brownish orange liquid in the corner of his cage, it smells really bad but i've kept checking his bum and it's completely dry each time? Is it just his poop and pee mixing together perhaps or him maybe peeing on his food? He's very active, playful and happy right now and doesn't seem ill? Please please help!

Default Re: Brown liquid in corner of cage?

Hello, welcome to hamster central.

This sounds like normal, hamster urine. Hamster urine is far more concentrated than other mammals and can appear a dark brown colour. They also typically pick a corner to use as their toilet.
