what dry skin on hamsters ears

The vet believes it's an odd case of the ringworms. There's more dry spots that popped up over night. I did notice how dark his scent glands were getting, they were not suppose to be that way. It's because they were drying up and getting clogged. He gave me some medicine and said if it doesn't work then they'll do a scrap test, so hopefully this works and he gets better. For two days I did measure out how much water he drank and it was 15ml each day, so his water intake was good. Of course my other hamsters don't drink that much but I guess he's more thirsty then them lol

15ml is more than normal but not a hugs amount to worry about.

The vet asked about how much water he drinks and I told him 15ml but he didn't seem too concerned about. I hope this works and gets him back to looking healthy again. He also said the food I'm giving him is really good too. I put his play pen on the front door area and he believes that's where he probably got it from. I don't mop that area often so now I will have to. In the picture, I remove the rugs first before I lay the play pen down, it takes up this whole area. It's the only place downstairs without carpet or wood.

He is starting to look so much better, I am so happy. Do you think Cooking the wood on 140 for 30 minutes or longer will kill off any parasites? His houses and toys are all wood and I spent over a $100 on them and I don't think my hubby would like to buy all of it again or see that I thrown it out. My hubby doesn't care for animals and him agreeing to let me have 3 hamsters is socking. He will do what I ask but I also don't like making him upset or getting in an argument. So if there's away to sanitize them that would be great.

Great to hear that he's starting to improve.
Baking should be fine to get rid of anything in the wooden things, I'm just not sure of the time & temperature though.
