Default Black nail and finger

Hello!

A couple days ago I noticed that my Syrian boy aged 6 months got something black on his nail and around its base, it looked like old blood. Today I noticed a black spot on the finger above that nail. The black around the nail is still there. I’m worried that it’s spreading.

Otherwise he seems absolutely fine. Runs in his wheel and climbs the bars and does all the stuff he normally does.

I’m attaching a photo. Help, please!

That looks like a bruise or bleeding under the skin, could he have trapped it somewhere? Any toys with small gaps or chains he could have caught it in?
Is he in a barred cage or a tank, if it's barred he might have caught it climbing.
If it doesn't seem to be bothering him he may not be in much pain with it & if it is a bruise then it should heal with time but I would give the cage a good check over for any possible places he could get his feet or nails trapped.

cypher, he is in a barred cage and is an avid bar climber. I had a felling he could have injured it while climbing. I’ll make sure to check for other possible traps. Thank you!

It looks like he has pulled a nail. The nail may come out but as long as the foot / toe is not swollen it should heal up given time. Keep an eye on it though and see the vet if it does get more swollen. Check the wheel / wooden toys etc for anything he could catch the claw on. Hope it clears soon. I'd watch the nail too as they sometimes grow crooked after a pull and need frequent clipping.
