Default Elderly hamster, wet buttom and crazy energy

I'm puzzled lately.
Zelda is turning 2 years in 2 weeks so she is quite elderly, but has generally not shown any real signs of aging.
Lately though..
On one hand she is frantic with energy. She has never been this active in her life. If I put my hand down in front of her she would normally just lick away, but lately she will use it to try to climb out on her own. She even made it over into tikis cage once! (precautions have been taken and no one was hurt)
I have constructed a cardboard maze for her to run around in, for activation, and it seems to satisfy her need for action. She will literally run around in it for hours.
She will come climb out into my hand when she is done and she is absolutely the boss when it comes to that maze. If I don't wait until she feels she's done she will go right back to escape mode the moment she's back in the cage. I can then spend half an hour "arguing" with her, only to be right back at the maze again to try and run her tired.
On the other hand
She has been losing weight, until we started giving her a little of Romeos pellets soaked in water daily. I know it's not ideally suited for her, but I don't know what else to give her. She gained a lot of the weight back after that. Her teeth are fine and she can definitely eat her own mix, she just generally doesn't want to.
And she kind of seems to be "leaking"... She is constantly wet on the buttom. It's not wet tail. It doesn't smell at all, not like pee either, and it's completely clear.her poops are normal too, despite the amount of soaked food she eats. It started before we started giving her that, in any case. I read somewhere that elderly hamster might have arthritis and can't reach anymore, but I've seen her reach. Saw it just this morning

Has anyone else experienced this kind of behavior? I'm struggling to understand any of it.
