Default Is this mites? help

Hi, I've noticed yesterday some kind of white dust all over my tank and today I was inspecting it and it's moving. Is it mites? What should I do?

If it's moving then yes it will most likely be some kind of mite (there are many types) it could have come from things like substrate, wood, hay food or anything like that really.
I think all you can do is to do a compete cage clean, wash anything washable, either discard anything that mites could live in like wood or even cardboard or put them in the freezer for at least a week, throw out all the substrate, clean the tank thoroughly & start with everything fresh, check your substrate supplies & anything else that they could possibly have come from before putting it in the cage.
It will be stressful for your ham but I don't think there's really any option.

Thanks cypher, I've been to the vet with her because when I was moving her to a clean temporary cage I noticed some white and black dots on her. Turns out it wasn't on her just on the tank and all over the room I have her in.
The mites were severely attacked with bleach and hot water last night but came back today, not in the large number they were but still a reasonable number. I've been searching and it's grain mites, I've sprayed them now with a mix of water and vinegar let's wait and see.
Alice has a respiratory infection though 😔 but the vet already gave me meds and I have to keep an eye on her. I have her in a clean cage in another room. She seems a bit stressed cause the cage is so small, the bedding is new, no wheel. It's her travel cage but I don't have anything else. I'm feeling like a monster but it's for her own good. I hope she gets well.

I know it makes you feel really mean when you have to do things like that but I'm sure she'll be ok while you deal with it, hope you get rid of them soon, sounds like you're doing a good, thorough job.
Hope Alice recovers from her respiratory infection soon too.
