Default My hamster has a lump on her arm.

I just noticed today as I havenít home this week. She has a lump on her left arm and she just drags it along. She doesnít seem to be in a lot of pain but she also doesnít seem very happy either. I canít take her to the vet until the weekend. I donít know if itís a tumor or she hurt her arm somehow. I first thought it was something in her cheek but itís not. I donít know what it is...

Sorry to hear that your hamster has a lump on her arm. It is probably going to be impossible for anyone to be able to say what it is without seeing it I'm afraid. It could be a cyst or a broken bone. Is the lump under her skin? Or is it like a spot?

I think the best think would be to make sure she has easy access to food and water in case she is struggling to get around and see what the vet says at the weekend.

Keeping my fingers crossed it is nothing serious.

I had this problem but with the hamsters chest. It can be any number of things ranging from tumours to cancer to begnine build up lumps.

Put your hamster in a smaller cage move food and water near to her hideaway or house so she doesnt have to go far. Avoid bringing the hamster out as she may be in discomfort.

[B]Hamsters are animals of pray... they will not show pain or discomfort do not take it that she is well however, it can be a little thing[B]

The weekend is three days away, so its not too bad but not good either.

Do not panic it can be any number of things many of which are not harmful.

PLEASE take VERY GOOD care of your hamster and while your were away did you make sure she was looked after or not?

All this infomation and questions are for me to help you on what is wrong.

Do not panic but make the hamster is in the best she possibly can be in.

Yes very true. Even if you did show a picture none of us on the forum can tell unless we were trained vets. At least you can take her to the vets on Saturday
