Unhappy Possible birth defects?

Just to be clear I don't care what Charley (my hamster) looks like. He has the best personality, and I love him dearly regardless of his (possible) deformed sweet little face.

- I just bought Charley from petsmart today (yay!). From what the employee has told me, charley may or may not have been sick for the two weeks they had him. I was informed that he was dehydrated but is well now and needs a good home.. as we all know petsmart and petco aren't the most reliable when it comes to animal health and care, so I'm skeptical of sweet Charley's well being.
- He has big black bug eyes (I was told he was born that way) and his nose is more concave than any of the other Syrian hamsters I saw. Even his brothers nose was noticeably bigger.. so I've come to the conclusion perhaps charley was born with some sort of facial deformity? I'm new here so I'm at a loss as how to post pictures.
- I hope this was enough information to go off of despite no picture. If anyone knows what might be wrong with my little buddy or if there are health risks, please let me know. I want to give charley the best life possible. Also going to the vet is currently not an option.. hurricane Harvey has flooded the only near by veterinary that cares for small animals, so I'd have to drive about 1-2 hours to reach the next available, however I will do so if this turns out to be an emergency. Thank you for the help! <3

What sort of illness did he potentially have Katsunae? If he doesn't look right to you it is likely that there is something amiss. Is he easing and drinking OK? The dehyration is worrying as this is definately not normal. I'd suggest you use a small bowl in case he is unable to use a water bottle. I wonder if he has a cleft palate? Can you see a gap in the top lift or the skin divided in that area? It is quite a serious condition if he has as often they are unable to feed properly and food passes in to the cleft and causes other issues.
He could have received an injury while young and more commonly have maloccluded teeth which could be growing wrongly and piercing the gums. Can you check the teeth in any way? Does the pet store have a vet they use who may be able to check him over? I'd try doing the health checks and ensuring he can take water from some sorce. Maybe small chopped cucumber or oats mixed with water?
To post pics you should look near the bottom of your posts (use the go advanced button underneath this box) abd select the manage attachments. You can then upload a photo from your computer though it needs to be smallish (around 700 pixels across)
Welcome to HC.

If your hamster is behaving fine then you are probably alright. If I were you I would do a basic health check.
1. Check the behind to see if there is any swelling or unusual discharge
2. Check the Nose for any discharge
3. Check the ears for crustiness and discharge
4. Check the teeth they should be yellow not white.
5. Check the eyes for discharge.
If you see any bad signs go straight to the vet.
