I think my hamster might be going/ is deaf
hi
over the past couple of weeks I have noticed that my elderly hamster rowan hasn't really been responding to my voice or my squeak noises. there have been a couple of occasions when I thought the worst had happened because when I went to check on her she just didn't come out like she used to. She is over 2 now. Is this normal for an elderly hamster

It's possible but it may also be that now she's getting older she just wants to sleep more & not interact as much, is she generally less active now?

They do become less active the older they get, I've found that a lot with my hamsters who were over 2 years, they preferred to snuggle up in their beds, I just ensured they got extra bedding.
