Wait. Is Carefresh and Kaytee Okay? I used Carefresh and recently started using Kaytee. People have recommended that to me though. Are those okay?

If not does anyone know a good replacement?

If they are the cellulose/paper-based type, then yes, they are safe

This sounds exactly like what happened to my last hamster, Valkyrie, she was given antibiotics which I gave her in a mini syringe too.. unfortunately she didn't survive I used to use cotton bedding aswell though..so that's very interesting to hear. I don't use it anymore since I heard it could hurt them.
That cotton bedding is dangerous and should not be sold!

This is actually a pretty good idea... and then sending them to Rotastak with a note saying "this is the only thing your bedding is safe for!"

......sorry, my mind easily wonders off in machiavelic plots. xD

Just removed all the fluffy pets are home snug and cozy bedding from Alice's cage and replaced it with strips of kitchen roll. Got some basics tissue coming with the shopping on Thursday. Alice is now dragging the strips into her bedding corner and running around her home gathering everything up. Sorted!

I have carefresh now, but will switch to toilet paper as it sounds like fun for me and Magellan to let him rip up his own. Thank you guys for the warning and the suggestion.
