I missed your post about the chammomile tea earlier so probably a bit late now but for future reference never bath eyes with anything other than plain water or saline unless it's something prescribed by your vet.
Hope you get on ok & the vet & her eye clears up soon.

we did do the chamomille and the vet said that we did the right thing, and to continue that and call again if it got worse. she didn't even need to see us.

so for anyone who is wondering, at least according to my vet, conjunctivitis or red eye, cold chamomille on a cotton swap/tip straight away and every few hours.

yeah, hamsters aren't taken very seriously in denmark unfortunately.
But she looked so much better this morning. we are checking up on her every few hours.
